"Kristine, Elka, Jenna and Neil turned in a one-of-a-kind entry: an old-fashioned, black-and-white design portfolio consisting of 21 poster-size pages packed with photos and information about materials engineering. Each member of the group focused on a different material and created a tri-fold board about her or his assigned topic. The group used the boards, along with a fun bingo-game, to present their research to 40 middle school students and at a STEM convocation for elementary talented and gifted students. They included detailed information, photos, survey results and feedback. Wow! The judges loved the fact that the group’s project and their obvious enthusiasm for their topic reached so many people. Way to go group!" See pictures and full article here.
